The Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) is committed to accountability and transparency to its students, parents, faculty and staff, and taxpayers. Each of these groups helps realize IHL's mission related to teaching, research and public service. In order to demonstrate its commitment, IHL is launching the accountability and transparency website. This website will act as a central repository of information and data related to the system, the Executive Office, its eight public institutions and medical center. This website is an evolving process that IHL will strive to continuously enhance as we progress in the coming months. Posted information will not include information that is confidential, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) related information, or any other information that is subject to prohibitions by state and/or federal law/regulation(s).
Legislation was enacted to revise the Mississippi Accountability and Transparency Act of 2008 and to create and maintain a searchable website providing access to the public for all taxpayer investments in state government. Download a copy of this legislation.
