The search committee tasked with managing the selection of the next president at the Mississippi University for Women was announced today. Chaired by Trustee Teresa Hubbard, other trustees serving on the search committee will include Trustee Amy Arrington, Trustee Jerry Griffith, Trustee Charlie Stephenson, Trustee and Board Vice President Gregg Rader, and Trustee and Board President Dr. Steven Cunningham. Former MUW President Nora Miller retired on June 30, 2026. Dr. Scott Tollison, former provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, was named interim president effective July 1. The committee will conduct a national search with the assistance of a higher education search firm. A formal request for proposal will be issued for the selection of a search firm. The target date for selection of a new president is early in the spring semester of 2027.
