Board of Trustees to Hold Virtual Special Called Meeting on Friday, July 18

Jackson, Miss.— The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning will hold a virtual special called meeting on Friday, July 18 at 12:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering a request for approval for Alcorn State University to enter a lease agreement with Magnolia Bluffs Hotel of Natchez, MS. The Board will also receive and discuss confidential legal advice and possibly consider amendments to IHL policy relevant to litigation challenging HB 1193 and compliance with state law, some or all of which may occur in executive session pursuant to the Open Meeting Act. 

Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference or an online meeting platform. The meeting will be webcast on www.mississippi.edu. Members of the public and media may attend the meeting in the IHL Board Room, located in the Universities Center, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, Miss., 39211.

A copy of the Board book for the meeting will be available on the IHL website prior to the meeting.
