BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO MEET NEXT WEEK

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, November 17, 2011, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference. Members of the public and media may attend the meeting in the IHL Board Room, located in the Universities Center, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, Miss. An Executive Session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, including the Board Search Committee for the Mississippi University for Women presidential search, an ad hoc committee chaired by Trustee Christy Pickering, and the Interview Search Advisory Committee, comprised of members of the MUW Campus Search Advisory Committee selected by the committee, will meet at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2011, for the purpose of discussing personnel issues concerning the search for the next president of Mississippi University for Women. Members of the public and media may attend the meeting in the IHL Board Room. Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference. An Executive Session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning will meet on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, beginning at 6:00 p.m., 1 Crestview Cove, Jackson, Miss., for a work session. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
