The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning’s (IHL) Real Estate and Facilities Committee, chaired by Trustee Scott Ross, will meet on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, beginning at approximately 11:15 a.m. at the Cross Creek property site, located at Turner Road, north of I-10, in Harrison County, MS. The purpose of the committee meeting is to view the Cross Creek property site, which was selected in April 2007 as the preferred location of an additional campus of the University of Southern Mississippi. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

Under the leadership of the Board of Trustees, IHL governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
