MISSISSIPPI COMMISSION ON COLLEGE ACCREDITATION MEETING RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30

The Mississippi Commission on College Accreditation (MCCA) will meet on Thursday, November 30, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., in the Fifth Floor Conference Room, Room 507, of the Paul B. Johnson Tower Building within the Education and Research Center Complex, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS, 39211.  The purpose of the meeting is to hear an appeal from Madison University of the decision made by MCCA to deny the university's request for provisional accreditation. The meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2006, was rescheduled at the request of Madison University.  An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
