The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) will hold its annual retreat Thursday, September 21, and Friday, September 22, beginning at 8:00 a.m., at the Hilton Jackson Hotel, 1001 East County Line Road, Jackson, MS, 39211. The meetings are currently scheduled to be held in the Port Gibson Board Room; however, any changes will be posted in the hotel lobby. The purpose of the annual retreat is to discuss topics of interest to the Board for the upcoming year. An Executive Session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings act.

Under the leadership of the Board of Trustees, IHL governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
