DELTA TASK FORCE TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING IN FAYETTE, MS

The Special Task Force for the Revitalization of the Delta Region, a group formed by the 2006 Mississippi Legislature’s House Bill 1034, will hold a public hearing Saturday, August 12, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 307 Main Street, Fayette, MS. Hearings have been held throughout the Delta region over the past six weeks. Residents from surrounding areas including Port Gibson, Natchez, and Lorman, and other communities in the area are encouraged to attend and voice their concerns and identify issues regarding the Delta’s long-range economic development plans. Reservations are not necessary.
