BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO MEET NEXT WEEK

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, October 21, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference or an online meeting platform. Members of the public and media may attend the meeting in the Cochran Limbert Assembly Room in Cochran Hall on the campus of Mississippi University for Women, 1100 College Street, Columbus, Miss., 39701, allowing for social distancing per applicable executive order and/or recommendations from the Mississippi State Department of Health.. An Executive Session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Health Affairs Committee, a standing committee of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning chaired by Dr. Alfred McNair Jr., will meet on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. to discuss various health affairs topics and initiatives. Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference or an online meeting platform. Members of the public and media may attend the meeting in the Cochran Limbert Assembly Room in Cochran Hall on the campus of Mississippi University for Women, 1100 College Street, Columbus, Miss., 39701, allowing for social distancing per applicable executive order and/or recommendations from the Mississippi State Department of Health. An Executive Session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
