Institutional Research
 
The Office of Institutional Research manages and maintains a variety of institutional data for the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning. This includes, but may not be limited to, the following databases: student enrollment, employees, degrees awarded, scholarships and financial aid, and course credit hours.
 
Responsibilities:
coordinate the system planning process with the Board of Trustees, the Commissioner, the Board Planning Committee, the Universities, and the Board staff;

manage the processes and procedures of the IHL Management Information System (MIS);

coordinate the collection, compilation, analysis, and distribution of university and system data to the Board of Trustees, the Legislature, the public, various state, regional, and national educational agencies, and other entities for policy decisions and for accountability reporting;

produce standing and ad hoc reports through a variety of electronic and print publications;

facilitate university research through the Mississippi University Research Authority (MURA), the Mississippi Research Consortium (MRC), and the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA); and

serve as the IHL representative for the following agencies:
