AP

AP courses are college-level courses offered at the high school level. Students who take and excel on AP Exams can earn college credit at most colleges and universities.

Contact the colleges and universities directly to learn about their policy for giving college credit for AP Exams.

37 different AP courses and AP Exams are offered in 22 main subject areas. All courses may not be offered at all high schools.

AP Exams are given by high schools, so interested students should talk to an AP teacher or the AP Coordinator at the high school about available AP courses and exams. Students who are home schooled or attend a school that doesn't offer AP, can still participate.

2009 Exam dates are:

May 4-8
May 11-15

The fee for each exam is $84. Students with financial need may qualify for fee reductions and pay only $54. In addition, state subsidies are available to assist with the fees. (For more information about this, contact the your school’s AP Coordinator for more info.)
