EXPLORE is the ACT college readiness test. It helps 8th and 9th graders explore their strengths and weaknesses and prepare for high school and college.

EXPLORE is given through schools, so contact your school counselor to find out if and when your child will take the test.

EXPLORE consists of four tests:
English: 30 minutes, 40 questions
Math: 30 minutes, 30 questions
Reading: 30 minutes, 30 questions
Science: 30 minutes, 28 questions

Testers receive a composite score that ranges from 1 to 25. This is the average of the four subject test scores.
