Master of Arts in Teaching
 
One alternate route program for those interested in teaching but without a bachelors of education degree is the Master of Arts in Teaching. This degree provides college graduates in other disciplines with the coursework, knowledge base, and field experiences needed to be licensed, successful teachers. Mentoring and follow-up support is also provided to aid in the adjustment to the teaching profession.
