The mission of the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid is to provide all qualified college and college-bound students with state-funded financial assistance, with a focus on Mississippi residents. In keeping with this mission, we have created one, easy to complete, application to enable student to apply for all state-funded scholarships, grants or loans.

Under the governance of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid is responsible for the administration of all state-funded financial aid programs, including grants, scholarships and loans. These funds provide assistance to Mississippi residents in pursuit of their educational and professional goals.

The following are required from all WWTS applicants.

  • Passing Praxis I scores or ACT score (national testing) of 21 or higher with a minimum of 18 on all sub-scores on the same national test.

  • Applicants must also be able to document their enrollment into a program of study leading to a Class 'A' teacher educator license.

  • Provide signed copy of first two pages of parent's Mississippi Resident Individual Income Tax returns for 2008 tax year (Click for Example of a Mississippi tax return). Independent students (those that are married, working on a graduate or professional degree, orphan or ward of court, veteran of armed forces, dependents other than spouse or born before January 1, 1986) would provide signed copy of student's state tax return for 2008 tax year.

  • Please do not submit a copy of the Mississippi driver license, unless you elected to Opt out of the electronic validation or receive a request from the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid.

  • First time applicants must have their WWTS contract completed, signed, notarized and returned via mail to the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid. The Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid will mail contracts to those who will be selected as recipients.
