The mission of the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid is to provide all qualified college and college-bound students with state-funded financial assistance, with a focus on Mississippi residents. In keeping with this mission, we have created one, easy to complete, application to enable student to apply for all state-funded scholarships, grants or loans.

Under the governance of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid is responsible for the administration of all state-funded financial aid programs, including grants, scholarships and loans. These funds provide assistance to Mississippi residents in pursuit of their educational and professional goals.

Available to the student who:

dark blue box Is enrolled as a graduate student in either Public Administration, Public Policy and Administration or Criminal Justice Administration at one of the following universities: Jackson State University, Mississippi State University, University of Mississippi or University of Southern Mississippi

dark blue box Has achieved a grade point average of 3.0

dark blue box Is a permanent U.S. resident or possesses a green-card

dark blue box Has not defaulted on an educational loan

dark blue box Has entered into an Intern Agreement with the Board of Trustees, Institutions of Higher Learning

dark blue box Has registered for the internship course on their respective campus during the semester in which they intern

Award Amount and Length of Eligibility: The stipend may be made in any amount not to exceed $1,000 per month plus one percent fringe benefits and not to exceed eight (8) months.
