Is the spouse or dependent child of a full-time law officer or full-time firemen who was fatally injured or totally disabled from injuries which occurred while performing official duties who was a Mississippi resident at the time of death or injury

Meets the satisfactory academic standards for admission to a public university or community college in Mississippi

Is a full-time student at a Mississippi public college or university

Renewal: All continuing participants must:

Exhibit satisfactory academic progress as established by the institution throughout the normal time required to complete the degree curriculum. For purposes of this program, the normal time required will be determined by when the student began the approved degree program

Award Amount and Length of Eligibility: Tuition, required fees and the average cost of campus housing at a public university or community college. Eligibility for funds cannot exceed eight (8) semesters or the normal time required to complete the degree curriculum for the individual student, whichever comes first.
