The mission of the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid is to provide all qualified college and college-bound students with state-funded financial assistance, with a focus on Mississippi residents. In keeping with this mission, we have created one, easy to complete, application to enable student to apply for all state-funded scholarships, grants or loans.

Under the governance of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid is responsible for the administration of all state-funded financial aid programs, including grants, scholarships and loans. These funds provide assistance to Mississippi residents in pursuit of their educational and professional goals.

Application Deadline: March 31st

Available to the student who:

dark blue box Has been fully admitted to the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry for the study of family dentistry

dark blue box Is a resident of Mississippi as verified by the submission of residency documentation.

dark blue box Is enrolled full-time

dark blue box Agrees to specialize in family dentistry

dark blue box Agrees to practice family dentistry immediately upon degree completion in a critical need area of the state

Renewal: All continuing participants must:

dark blue box Meet the satisfactory academic progress standards of the institution for the normal time required to complete the curriculum. The normal time required will be determined by when the individual student began the curriculum.

dark blue box Renew the application each year by completing this on-line web application

Service commitment: The loan to service obligation must be rendered in a critical need area of Mississippi for a period of, not less than, one year's service for one year of scholarship received. Service is defined as the practice of family dentistry (patient care).

Award Amount and Length of Eligibility: Tuition each year, not to exceed four academic years.
