Ms. Christine L. Pickering was appointed to the Board in 2008 by Governor Haley Barbour for a term to expire in May 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Ms. Pickering obtained her Certified Public Accountant license from the Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy in 1986. She has been a sole practitioner with an office in Biloxi since 1991.
Ms. Pickering is a holding company director for Hancock Holding Company and serves as the Audit Committee chair for the company. She also serves as a director on the Mississippi Power Company Board.
Pickering received the Harrison County Small Business Excellence Award in 1998. In 1996, she was named the Small Business Advocate for the state of Mississippi by the Small Business Administration.
