The practice must be currently implemented by one of Mississippi's eight public universities or an affiliated branch campus to be eligible for consideration.
The Best Practice must have a significant and measurable impact on institutional operation which must be evidenced in the documentation.
The Best Practice must have the support and acceptance by those who benefit directly. An explanation and documentation must be presented or summarized showing how those benefiting embraced or supported the endeavor such as surveys, committees, focus groups, etc.
The Best Practice must demonstrate creativity, effectiveness, and efficiencies including cost savings, positive net return, cost avoidance, productivity, and/or service enhancement.
The program must enhance achievement of the institution's mission, strategic goals, or objectives.
The program should serve as a model for possible replication at other institutions.
Entries that do not include sufficient information to demonstrate validity of the above criteria will not be eligible for all available points during the judging process.
